Abstract
The relation between perceived parental bonding to maternal and patern al primary caregivers and current psychological functioning was examin ed among an adult female sample (n = 78) of child sexual abuse survivo rs (CSASs). Although CSASs revealed significantly poorer psychological adjustment than non-CSASs, high paternal care was significantly assoc iated with better psychological functioning among CSASs. These data ar e discussed in the context of attachment theory.
