Abstract
A new derivative of dithizone has been synthesised and used for the ch emical modification of indium tin oxide (ITO) and gold electrodes. The modified electrodes were characterised by cyclic voltammetry and surf ace spectroscopic techniques and their response to some transition met al ions has been studied. It is concluded that the observed surface re action corresponds to the formation of a disulphide. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
