Abstract
A tile calorimeter (QCAL) has been designed for the KLOE experiment. O ptimization studies have been conducted by testing the coupling betwee n different types of scintillators and WLS fibers. Results on light yi eld, attenuation length of fibers and time resolution are presented. ( C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
