The scintillating fiber tracker system of the WA95/CHORUS experiment a
t CERN is briefly described. Its performances were monitored using hig
h-energy muons associated to the neutrino beam. After three years of d
ata taking, the system has shown to perform according to the design an
d to be robust, with a negligible fiber ageing. The different monitori
ng and calibration systems necessary to ensure high-resolution trackin
g are presented. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All right
