Abstract
Clerodendrum L. s.l. subg. Cyclonema (Hochstetter) Guerke plus Clerode ndrum sect. Konocalyx Verdcourt (subg. Clerodendrum pro parte) are rec ognized as a distinct genus, for which the earliest name is Rotheca Ra finesque. The new combinations Rotheca commiphoroides (Verdcourt) Stea ne & Mabberley, Rotheca makanjana (H. Winkler) Steane & Mabberley, Rot heca myricoides (Hochstetter) Steane & Mabberley, Rotheca incisa (Klot zsch) Steane & Mabberley Rotheca sansibarensis (Guerke) Steane & Mabbe rley, Rotheca sansibarensis subsp. occidentalis (Verdcourt) Steane & M abberley, Rotheca sansibarensis subsp. caesia (Guerke) Steane & Mabber ley, and Rotheca serrata (L.) Steane & Mabberley are made.
