The spin-triplet spectra of light and heavy neutral mesons are studied
in the framework of a free two-body Dirac equation supplemented by a
linear scalar confinement interaction. The theoretical Regge trajector
ies of this model are compared with those of a nonrelativistic model a
nd with the experimental data. Several confinement mechanisms usable f
or the two-body Dirac equation are presented and the connection with t
he two-body Klein-Gordon equation is discussed.
