The temperature dependence of the energy gap in single crystals of CuI
nTe2 has been analyzed by considering separately the contributions due
to thermal expansion and electron-phonon interaction. For the first c
ontribution we use a term that explicitly takes into account the tempe
rature variation of the thermal expansion coefficient and the pressure
variation of the band gap. Far the electron-phonon interaction, a sta
tistical factor for phonons with an average temperature Theta is emplo
