STUDY OF GLASS-CERAMIC MATERIALS INTERFACES

This paper is about the study of several technical ceramics dumped on casting surface mould to form hollow glass. Different tests. such as t hermal wear, adherence and tribological ones on glass flat, are carrie d out for the studied ceramics. An estimated wettability angle charact erizes the ceramic behaviour toward hot glass. The results show that t he studied ceramics, due to their abrasive coefficients and good wetta bility with the glass, are not very suitable as lubricant for hallow g lass manufacturing process.
