Abstract
We present the case of a healthy young white man, who suddenly complai ned of strong pain in the lower extremities while he was cycling. An e mergency bilateral femoral thromboembolectomy was carried out and thro mbotic material was obtained. A two-dimensional echocardiogram showed a mobile mass adhered to the apex. Pathological study of the mass reve aled a small myocardial infarction with thrombus. (C) 1998 Elsevier Sc ience Ireland Ltd.
