Y. Azuma et al., TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENCE OF PHOTOELECTRON ANGULAR-DISTRIBUTION FROM THIN-FILMS OF CHLOROALUMINUM PHTHALOCYANINE ON MOS2, Journal of synchrotron radiation, 5, 1998, pp. 1047-1049
Angle-resolved UV photoelectron spectra were measured for thin films o
f chloroaluminum phthalocyanine deposited on cleaved MoS2 surfaces. Th
e take-off angle (theta) dependence of the photoelectron intensity of
the highest pi band showed a remarkable sharpening upon cooling the fi
lm, indicating that thermal excitation of molecular vibrations gives a
considerable broadening of the photoelectron angular distribution. Th
e theta dependence observed at similar to 120 K agrees well with that
calculated.
