Abstract
We report a new and low cost method to synthesize colloidal CdSe and c oated CdSe/CuSe nanocrystals in aqueous solution. The results of struc tural characterization and optical measurements indicated that the goo d size control had been achieved. The photoluminescence study confirme d the surface passivation of CdSe core with CuSe outlayer and revealed strong enhancement of baud-edge luminescence due to the quantum confi nement in coated CdSe/CuSe nanocrystals.
