Abstract
The crystal structure of tristrontium bis(2-hydroxy-1,2,3-propanetrica rboxylate) pentahydrate has been determined. One Sr ion is coordinated with eight O atoms, another with nine and the third with ten at dista nces ranging from 2.498 (2) to 2.781 (2) angstrom. Two Sr ions are bou nd to citrate ions in a tridentate manner. Both citrate ions in the as ymmetric unit are in an extended conformation. There are 11 hydrogen b onds in one asymmetric unit of the crystal structure.
