OFFENDING PATTERN IN A GERONTOPHILIC PERPETRATOR

Examples of sexual offences perpetrated against older female victims a re infrequently found in the medical literature. The case of a geronto philic offender is reported. The criminal career of the subject bears a strong resemblance to more typical sex offenders with the exception of the very specific nature of victim selection. The current lack of k nowledge and understanding of such offences and perpetrators is emphas ized.
