Abstract
We describe a patient with renal transplant who developed abdominal pa in and acute nephritis in the course of the follow-up. A biopsy of col on lesions revealed CMV inclusions, renal biopsy revealed acute glomer ulonephritis with positive CMV-DNA on polimerase chain reaction. The r enal disease and bowel symptoms completely resolved after antiviral tr eatment.
