Abstract
The palladium-catalyzed Heck reaction of aryl halides in the presence of phosphite ligands is described for the first time. Aryl bromides an d even electron deficient aryl chlorides can be coupled efficiently (t urnover numbers up to 31,000) with different olefins using palladium/t rialkyl- or triaryl phosphite mixtures as catalysts.
