E. Sourty et al., FERRITE-LOADED MEMBRANES OF MICROFIBRILLAR BACTERIAL CELLULOSE PREPARED BY IN-SITU PRECIPITATION, Chemistry of materials, 10(7), 1998, pp. 1755
Uniform magnetic membranes are obtained from microfibrillar bacterial
cellulose suspensions loaded with nanosized ferrites (mainly magnetite
). The cellulose microfibrils act as a nucleation site for the growing
ferrites, as clearly visible by transmission electron microscopy.
