The nonisothermal crystallisation of La(1-x)PrxBGeO5 glasses with 0.00
less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.28 has been studied b
y differential thermal analysis. The effects on the glass transition t
emperature and on devitrification of substitution of La2O3 by Pr2O3 we
re evaluated. The influence on devitrification mechanisms of the speci
fic surface area of samples and nucleation heat treatments are also re
ported.
