The effects on the preparation of spherical Ni(OH)(2) of some importan
t preparative conditions which determine nucleation rate such as conce
ntration and adding rate of the reactant solution, concentration of aq
ueous ammonia, pH value of solution in the tank and reaction temperatu
re were theoretically investigated. On the basis of theoretical analys
is, spherical Ni(OH)2 with tapping density higher than 1.95g/cm(3),and
electrochemical activity higher than 200mA.h/g were prepared under th
e optimum preparative conditions.
