Abstract
The genus Pararchytas is revised. A new species is described, P. apach e (type locality: New Mexico, Grant Co., Cherry Creek campground, 14 m i. N of Silver City, 7400 feet). A lectotype is designated for Tachina decisa Walker. A key to the three known species, diagnostic descripti ons, distribution maps, and illustrations are provided.
