S. Endo et al., A SYNCHRONOUS ACQUISITION METHOD FOR THE DS SS SYSTEM IN LARGE UNKNOWN SEQUENCE INTERFERENCE/, Electronics and communications in Japan. Part 3, Fundamental electronic science, 81(9), 1998, pp. 10-19
In this paper, a synchronous acquisition method for the DS/SS system i
n large unknown sequence interference is proposed and its performance
is evaluated. The method can eliminate interference without knowing th
e PN sequence of other stations. The use of an unknown sequence interf
erence elimination circuit is determined by the difference in correlat
ion of the signal received due to the SLR. If the interference by othe
r stations is small, then synchronous acquisition is carried by the co
nventional sliding correlation method. If the interference is large, a
n interference elimination circuit is used, and after the elimination
of interference, synchronous acquisition is carried with the residual
signal. By applying the method, the acquisition time of synchronizatio
n is improved in comparison with a system that adds a special synchron
ous sequence in the base-band model. When a carrier exists, an interfe
rence elimination circuit using the Costas loop is proposed and the va
lidity of the circuit is demonstrated. (C) 1998 Scripta Technica, Elec
