Abstract
Raman and infrared spectra of a series of phosphates Mn0.5+xTi2-2xCr2x (PO4)(3) {0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.5} have be en recorded in crystalline state. Factor group analysis has been perfo rmed for space group R (3) over bar (x = 0, 0.1, 0.15) and R (3) over bar c (x = 0.25, 0.5) and assignments of the internal modes of the PO4 tetrahedra have been made.
