Sn. Kurilkina et Ag. Mashchenko, INTERMEDIATE REGIME OF LIGHT-DIFFRACTION BY ULTRASOUND IN CUBIC-CRYSTALS, Optics and spectroscopy, 84(6), 1998, pp. 918-922
The solution of the diffraction problem is obtained which describes fe
atures of the Raman-Nath diffraction and the intermediate regime of di
ffraction in cubic crystals. The dependence of energy and polarization
characteristics of diffracted waves on the polarization azimuth phi o
f the incident light is found. It is shown that one can choose phi and
the sound frequency in a way providing the diffraction regime in whic
h the intensity of diffracted optical radiation is independent of the
deviation of ultrasound power in a wide range of power variation. It i
s found that certain powers of the sound field can provide considerabl
e changes in polarization of light in the second diffraction order.
