Sn. Dmitriev et al., SURFACE MODIFICATION OF POLY(ETHYLENE-TEREPHTHALATE) TRACK MEMBRANES IN AN ALLYL ALCOHOL PLASMA, High energy chemistry, 32(4), 1998, pp. 275-279
Properties of poly(ethylene terephthalate) track membranes exposed to
an allyl alcohol radiofrequency plasma after preactivating their surfa
ce in an oxygen plasma were studied. The influence of plasma treatment
conditions on basic membrane characteristics-pore size and shape, wet
tability, and water permeability-was studied. It was shown that the di
scharge-plasma treatment of membranes can significantly improve their
performance characteristics.
