Abstract
A sampler to obtain deep sea water samples for mercury determination a t ng L-1 level, was designed and tested during a series of oceanograph ic cruises. Results indicated that, with the described sampler, contam ination free samples can be collected at depth up to 800 meters. Detai ls of sampler construction are given and an assembly to couple two bot tles is described.
