Abstract
A nonequilibrium Green's-function T-matrix approach is presented for t he consistent computation of semiconductor quantum-well optical spectr a including strong Coulomb correlations in the coupled photon and carr ier system. Numerical solutions of the Bethe-Salpeter-type equations y ield good agreement with recent absorption and/or gain and emission ex periments.
