Tj. Pujol et al., EFFECTS OF AN EXTERNAL NASAL DILATOR STRIP ON DIFFERENTIATED RATINGS OF PERCEIVED EXERTION, Perceptual and motor skills, 86(3), 1998, pp. 1153-1154
17 college-age subjects performed two 20-min. runs at 65% of maxi mal
oxygen consumption. Randomized trials were conducted with an external
nasal dilator strip or without. Subjects were polled every 5 min. for
over-all rating of perceived exertion, central rating of perceived exe
rtion, and local rating of perceived exertion. The use of an external
nasal dilator strip did not significantly loser any of the three.
