TRANSPORT POTENTIALS OF A DILUTE-SOLUTION IN A POROUS-MEDIUM

A theoretical description of isothermal transfers in porous media part ially saturated with a solution and its components using the thermodyn amics of irreversible processes leads to transport laws compatible wit h the physics of capillary and osmotic phenomena. In addition to the d iscarding of the total water transport potential, the approach leads t o the definition of a coefficient of reflection of 0 to 1 according to the transport characteristics of the medium weighted by the osmotic p otential.
