Abstract
Direct desorption/ionization (no matrix) and matrix-assisted laser des orption/ionization (MALDI) were tested for the analysis of four pestic ides, aldicarb, aminotriazole, dinoterb and ioxynil, at the 0.1 mu g/L level in water. Only MALDI provided good sensitivities, except for al dicarb, The most interesting result is that quantitative analysis of a minotriazole at the required level should be feasible using MALDI, whi ch is not possible using standard methods, at the present time.
