Abstract
The present Note describes some numerical results illustrating the pro pagation of elastic waves in homogeneous porous anisotropic media. The standard Biot model is used. The computation of the eigenvalues yield s.four real solutions corresponding to the three bulk modes and to the Biot mode. The characteristic surfaces (group and phase slownesses, p hase wavespeed and normal surface) are then computed.
