Ai. Abakumov et al., NUMERICAL-THEORETICAL STUDY OF STRESS-STRAIN STATE OF ROTATIONAL COMPOSITE SHELLS AT DYNAMIC LOADING WITH REGARD TO LARGE DEFORMATIONS, Mechanics of composite materials, 34(1), 1998, pp. 20-27
A model for calculating the dynamics of axisymmetric shells of oriente
d fiberglass in the area of large deformations has been developed. The
calculated results are compared with the experimental data on explosi
ve loading of cylindrical one-layer fiberglass and two-layer (steel+fi
berglass) shells. The loading is performed by the explosion of a compa
ct charge located in the geometrical center of the shell. The suggeste
d numerical model, which considers the decrease in the elastic modulus
of the binder, depending on the current elastic energy stored in the
material, allows us to obtain a satisfactory description of the shell
behavior at different levels of loading.
