Abstract
With the need to drill deeper holes and reach farther from existing pl atforms, designers for oil field components are turning to composites to provide the answers for difficult applications. This paper discusse s the advantages of composites as applied to oil field applications. S pecific examples are used to illustrate the significant advantages of composites.
