Abstract
The reaction of GeBr4 with 2 equivalents of Li2[C10H7N] (C10H7N = 1-na phthylamido dianion) in tetrahydrofuran (thf)-diethyl ether produces ( LiBr.thf)infinity as a product, which has an infinite 'corrugated' lad der structure in the solid state and can be regarded as arising from t he association of cube sof (LiBr.thf)4.
