Abstract
The total synthesis of dihomo-gamma-linoleic acid and (8Z, 11Z, 14Z)-1 9-methyl-8,11,14-eicosatrienoic acid was accomplished by using organom etallic complexes of copper (I) in the cross-coupling reaction of prop argyl synthones with terminal acetylenic reagents.
