Abstract
The jet cooled infrared absorption spectrum of ethane was recorded fro m 4000 to 4500 cm(-1) using a high resolution Fourier transform interf erometer (Bruker IFS120HR). The instrument resolution was 0.01 cm(-1), the rotational temperature obtained was around 40 K. Ten combination bands were identified. Rovibrational assignments were performed, for t he first time, concerning over 770 rovibrational lines. Band origins w ere obtained. Numerous perturbations are reported.
