A new electrolytic process is presented to grow solar selective layers
on aluminium. By this process the anodization of the aluminium and th
e pigmentation of the Al2O3 is done in only one electrolysis bath. Opt
ical properties of these layers were investigated and the scale-up of
the process was studied. To improve the corrosion resistance of these
layers a hydrophobic procedure was used and the optical properties of
