Abstract
It is shown that in LiBaF3(Ce) there are radiating processes of differ ent types which are realized simultaneously: superfast core-valence tr ansitions, slow self-trapped exciton luminescence and fast activator ( Ce3+) luminescence. The latter is the dominating effect. Effective Ce- luminescence with nanosecond decay times when bleaching in the region of 500-800 nm of X-ray colored crystal indicates a possibility to appl y LiBaF3(Ce) as a photostimulated storage phosphor.
