It is shown that KMgF3(Eu) crystals efficiently store energy from 250-
320 nm UV irradiation (the wavelength range most dangerous for health)
. The composition of anion and cation dopant determines both the inten
sity and the spectra of the thermostimulated luminescence. The mechani
sm of energy storage resulting from UV irradiation with energy lower t
