Abstract
Good yields of the title uracils were obtained by using the palladium- catalysed reaction between 5-iodo-2,4-dimethoxypyrimidine and substitu ted propargylic alcohols rather than the corresponding ketones. The sa me strategy works for coupling with the 5-iodo-2'-deoxyuridines.
