The synthesis and structures of 1,3-di(pyridine-2-carboxaldimino)propa
ne (C15H16N4, 1) and its cobalt(II) perchlorate (C15H20Cl2CoN4O10, 2),
copper(II) perchlorate (C15H16Cl2CuN4O8, 3) and zinc(II) perchlorate
(C15H16Cl2N4O8Zn, 4) complexes are described. Compound 1 was character
ized by H-1-, C-13 NMR and mass spectrometry. The structures of the me
