Abstract
A dimeric imine-titanium(IV) complex formed in the TiCl4-catalyzed azi ridination of imines has been isolated and characterised by X-ray diff raction. The structure is discussed and a mechanistic rationale is pre sented based on the enantiomeric excess obtained in catalytic aziridin ation of imines using alkyl diazoacetates as the carbene fragment dono r in the presence of chiral TiX2-TADDOLate complexes.
