Abstract
The ternary system H2O-NH4NO3-Al(NO3)(3). II. The polythermic diagram up to 100 degrees C. The solid-solid equilibrium diagram of H2O-NH4NO3 -Al(NO3)(3 .)6H(2)O composition field is completely established up to 100 degrees C. A quasibinary eutectic and ten ternary isobar invatiant transformations are observed by thermal analysis and fully characteri zed: liq. E <----> ice + NH4NO3 V + Al(NO3)(3 .)9H(2)O at - 33.6 degre es C at - 33.6 degrees C liq. T-1 + NH4NO3 IV <----> ice + NH4NO3 V at - 18.8 degrees C at - 18.8 degrees C liq.
