Y. Ichihashi et al., PHOTOLUMINESCENCE PROPERTIES OF TETRAHEDRAL TITANIUM-OXIDE SPECIES INZEOLITIC MATERIALS, Catalysis letters, 53(1-2), 1998, pp. 107-109
The photoluminescence spectra of the Y-type zeolite modified with tita
nium ions and Ti-silicalite-1 have been investigated by varying the ex
citation energy. A three-dimensional image of the photoluminescence sh
ows that the peak attributed to tetrahedral titanium oxide species is
present at the excitation energy around 200-210 nm, which is consisten
t with the UV absorption of the samples. The technique enables the dis
tinction of the photoluminescence of the titanium species from that of
silicate species.
