Abstract
The coordination polymeric cation of [Cu-6(trans-oxen)(3)(mu(3)-OH)(2) (H2O)(2)](n)Br-4n . 3nH(2)O exhibits a two-dimensional sheetlike frame work with rugged hexagonal grids of copper(II) ions bridged by alterna ting trans-oxamidate and mu(3)-OH- groups producing antiferromagnetic interactions; The polymeric cation, anions Br-, and H2O molecules coor dinated and solvated are connected to one another via a variety of H-b onded linkages to produce a three-dimensional extended network.
