A. Kalra et al., RELATIVE EFFICACY OF CHLOROTHALONIL FOR CONTROLLING LEAF-BLIGHT (COLLETOTRICHUM-GLOEOSPORIOIDES) OF SCENTED GERANIUM (PELARGONIUM, GRAVEOLENS), Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 68(7), 1998, pp. 364-366
A study was conducted during 1992-93 at Bangalore on the bioefficacy o
f chlorothalonil for controlling leaf blight uf geranium (Pelargonium
graveolens (L.) Herit.) caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporiodes Penz.
the chlorothalonil sprayed plots effectively reduced the disease inten
sity and gave on an average 242 and 192% greater yields of herbage and
essential oil, respectively, compared with the unsprayed plots and it
was at par with captafol sprayed plots in both the years. Chlorothalo
nil though found effective: against Colletotrichum gloeosporiodes was
not economical as captafol because of its higher cost.
