IDENTIFICATION OF THE DUAL CONE OF CONVEX-FUNCTIONS AND APPLICATIONS

We derive a characterization of the dual cone of convex functions usin g second derivatives of positive symmetric matrices. This characteriza tion allows as to determine the Euler-Lagrange equations associated to variational problems under convexity constraints. (C) Academie des Sc iences/Elsevier, Paris.
