Abstract
We describe a case of disseminated histoplasmosis that was erroneously diagnosed as central nervous system vasculitis and treated with immun osuppressive therapy. Our case emphasizes the importance of excluding infections before initiating treatment for presumed central nervous sy stem vasculitis. Clinical clues to underlying Histoplasma infections a re also discussed.
