Abstract
We propose a temperature fiber sensor based on a CdSe semiconductor na nocrystallite-doped phosphate glass. For 6 nm semiconductor particles the reversible temperature-induced absorption edge shift is demonstrat ed in the range of 0 degrees C-150 degrees C. The prototype of the fib er sensor with sensitivity of 0.12 nm/K and a simple direct intensity detection scheme are reported. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics.
