Abstract
In this paper, an adaptive dead zone inverse is proposed for control o f systems containing an unknown dead zone. It is shown that the effect of the unknown dead zone on the closed-loop control system can be eli minated asymptotically if both input and output measurements of the de ad zone are available. Two schemes are proposed along with their conve rgence and robustness analyses. (C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
