Abstract
Color Doppler sonography is an important modality in the non-invasive evaluation of the liver. It is commonly used to evaluate vascular chan ges which accompany cirrhosis. Doppler techniques are also used to eva luate patients who have undergone liver transplantation or transjugula r intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) placement. This review descr ibes the various applications of color Doppler in hepatic imaging. (C) Elsevier Science Inc., 1998.
