Em. Whitener et al., MANAGERS AS INITIATORS OF TRUST - AN EXCHANGE RELATIONSHIP FRAMEWORK FOR UNDERSTANDING MANAGERIAL TRUSTWORTHY BEHAVIOR, The Academy of Management review, 23(3), 1998, pp. 513-530

ers focus on employees' perceptions that their managers are trustworth
y. We turn the tables, however, and examine the antecedents of manager

ionship framework that identifies organizational, relational, and indi
vidual factors that encourage or constrain managerial trustworthy beha
vior.
